Our little rescue slept very well... well, that's sort-of a lie, he decided to sneak in and jump on my boyfriend's pillow and nuzzle his face at around 4am. But after that he slept very well (on my feet)! It was his first night out of the shelter so I didn't feel I could boot him off the bed; enjoy the freedom little chappie (I am totally closing the door tonight, however). This little champ doesn't have a name yet, but we rescued him today from a shelter for Persian cats. His previous owner said he was 9, but the vet says he's around 6. He's super affectionate, loves dogs (hooray!), and has already started writing my next novel at the desk in the window - thanks, buddy. He was called Susan before (...seriously), and "Mr Su" at the rescue home, so we're looking for a shiny new name. ❤️
Current fantasy: standing in the ocean, cool waves pooling around my slightly odd lookin knees. (My boyfriend says they look like they have faces? Does anyone else's knees have this? #oddkneesunite) ☀️ Current reality: melting at an office desk just north of Watford. I wasn't made for heatwaves. Soft, over-washed linen bedsheets rock, but they are like catnip to lazy chihuahuas. My book in the French edition of Cosmopolitan this month! 💥💥💥 "La love story futuriste" . My GCSE language skills are ropey but I like the comparison to GRAVITY (😍), and google translate tells me the other part says "We love . . . a countdown full of suspense and emotion" (if you speak French please do correct me here). .
